The Formação Escola project is, for the first time, part of the Douro Film Harvest programme. This initiative has the main goal of raising awareness to youngsters about the importance of cinema as a cultural manifestation, and becomes a dream experience for those who fall within the scope.
Under this project, a Santa Marta de Penaguião group of students had cinema classes and, in the end, they wrote, directed and edited a story, whose subject was also chosen by the group. The final product is called «Aviso do Diabo».
This year, the actor Afonso Pimentel has assumed the role of teacher. The classes were held in November of 2014 and gave the opportunity to cast a group of students for the short-cut «Encontradouro», from the Our Harvest section. |
