A train transports four storys up the river. Four memories of a region of rugged beauty. The DFH 2014’s production stars Portuguese professional actors that act side by side with the Santa Marta de Penaguião’s students.

Director's Biography:
Afonso Pimentel had his acting career debut at the age of 14 with the feature film «Adeus, Pai» that won him the Best Young Actor Award at the Moscow International Film Festival. Since then, he has worked as an actor in Cinema, TV and theatre. In 2007, he won the Portuguese Golden Globe for Best Cinema Actor, and the Shooting Stars Award during the Berlinale, for the role played in «Coisa Ruim». He participated in «Misteries of Lisbon» from Raoul Ruiz, «Lines of Wellington» from Valeria Sarmiento» e «Gelo» from Luís & Gonçalo Galvão Teles, where he co-stared with Ivana Baquero. He has produced several music videos and, in 2011, he created with Rodrigo Saraiva, «Núcleo Casulo», a creative group that works as a multidisciplinary production platform. The first Núcleo project was the music video «IE» produced with Vítor Guerreiro for the music band, Klepht. “Pó” was their first short-cut. In 2014 he was nominated for the Sophia Awards and for the Aquila Awards for Best Supporting Actor in cinema. More recently, he has written and directed «Encontradouro» for DFH.
