MÁRIO AUGUSTO
Mário Augusto has a career in journalism since 1986 and has worked and collaborated with several journals and radios. He has been developing a career in television since 1985 in children’s programmes, and was an assistant producer in several projects from a local TV station.
Since 1988 he’s a TV journalist and host, having presented numerous cinematographic items. In 1992, with the emergence of a new independent Portuguese TV station (SIC), he started to make interviews to movie stars.
In other television areas, he has been producing in-depth reports. «Mandem Saudades» has granted him the report award from Fundação Luso Americana para o Desenvolvimento (FLAD).
Between 1999 and 2001 he was one of the reporters that developed a project of 13 Documentaries about «the Portuguese 20th century».
In 2010 he returned to its first TV station (RTP). He presents, ever since, the TV magazine «Janela Indiscreta». There he has developed and founded, with a multidisciplinary team, the Academia RTP. Additionally, Mário Augusto has made television scripts and will soon direct his first short-cut.
