Synopsis:
Carlos is the most prestigious tailor in Granada, but he’s also a murderer in the shadows. He feels no remorse, no guilt, until Nina appears in his life. She will make him realize the true nature of his acts and, for the first time, love awakens. Carlos is evil incarnate, unaware of itself. Nina is pure innocence. And Cannibal is a demon’s love story.

Director's Biography:
Manuel Martín Cuenca, born in Almería, Spain, began, in 1988, his professional work in film as an assistant director, script supervisor, and casting director, working with directors including Felipe Vega and Alain Tanner. In 1999 he started to write and direct his own documentary and fiction films. During that period, he also taught Directing and Acting at several film schools in Spain and Cuba. He was a contributor to various newspapers and publications, and wrote a novel and several books about film. In 2001 he wrote and directed a documentary feature-length film, «The Cuban Game», winner of numerous international awards. In 2003 his first fiction film as director and co-screenplay writer, «The Weakness of Bolshevik», earned him great critical acclaim and five award nominations from the Círculo de Escritores Cinematográficos as well as nominations for the Goya Award for Best Screenplay Adaptation; and for the Goya Award for Best New Actress. The films were followed by «Hard Times», «Last Witnesses: Carrillo, Comunist», «Half of Oscar», and «Cannibal», all widely acclaimed by the critics.
