ANA MIRANDA
Ana Ventura Miranda is an actress and producer from Torres Vedras, Portugal. In 2006, she moved to New York where she began a career in journalism for the Portuguese television. As she established a strong connection with the local artistic community, Ana grew as a producer and director. She worked for Rádio ONU, for Missão Permanente de Portugal Junto das Nações Unidas and for the emblematic Sonnabend Gallery. In 2011, Ana Miranda founded the Arte Institute, an independent non-profitable organization for the internationalization of the Portuguese contemporary art. The producer has been responsible for the organization of several events in the United States, Portugal, Brazil, United Kingdom, Angola and France. These include the NY Portuguese Short Film Festival, the Summer Nights Series at Union Square Park, the José Saramago Weekend at New York, Pessoa in New York, Arte Institute Contemporary Dance inAlvin Ailey, Mulheres Portuguesas na América in New York, Gaiola Dourada at MoMA, among others.
