RUTH GABRIEL
Ruth Gabriel was born in Cádiz, Spain, and is one of the most beloved actresses in Spain. Her acting career started very early. As a child she played a leading role for the Spanish version of Sesame Street.
In 1994, Ruth Gabriel won the Goya Award for Revelation Actress for her widely acclaimed performance in her first film, «Dias Contados». After this success, her career launched to national cinema, TV and theater and international cinema.
After a maternity breack, Ruth moved to Los Angeles, where she wrote award winning poetry. Back in Madrid, she retook her acting career. She participated in films such as «The Disciple», directed by Emilio Ruiz Barrachina, and «Malamuerte» directed by Vicente Pérez Herrero, a role that won her the Best Actress award at the Mostra de Cine de Valencia. She regained her popularity with guest appearances in TV series like «Bandolera» or «Comisario».
